After squeaking out a narrow 111-108 win over the Denver Nuggets last Saturday night, the Golden State Warriors prepare for battle at Oracle Arena against the visiting Charlotte Hornets on Monday night. Golden State is eight and a half point favorites with the over/under line tentatively set at 206.5 total points according to BetOnline.

The Hornets are 1-7 ATS in their last eight games and have only won one game out of their previous five on the road. The total has gone over in 13 of Golden State's last 17 games. The total has also gone over in seven of Charlotte's last nine games when playing on the road at Golden State. Both the Warriors and Hornets have a number of players in question for tonight's 7:30 p.m. PST scheduled tip.
If the pulse of the Twitter-sphere can tell us anything, it looks as though Harrison Barnes will make his return tonight after missing 16 straight games with an injured ankle. This is obviously great news for the Dubs, who are 17-0 when Barnes plays.

Festus Ezeli (toe) and Brandon Rush (hamstring) are also looking to make their return to action tonight. Rush missed Saturday's game against Denver and Ezeli last played against the Kings on December 28th.

As for Steph Curry, I doubt he wants to sit out tonight's game against his hometown Charlotte Hornets. The reigning NBA MVP dropped 40 points on 8-of-11 shooting from three the last time the two teams met on December 2nd in Charlotte. However it may be more beneficial to Curry's long term health if he continues to rest.

FLO'S PICKS

From 1/2 vs. Denver:

ML - WARRIORS - WIN - GS 111-108

ATS - NUGGETS +15 - WIN - GS by 3

O/U - OVER 215 - WIN - 219 Total Points

Season totals:

ML - 30-2 (94%)

ATS - 16-16 (50%)

O/U - 17-15 (53%)

The Nuggets comeback was unpleasant to many, but we can call it gambler's optimism because it actually helped me lock up all three picks. Personally I would stay away from the Hornets-Warriors game tonight due to the high level of uncertainty from many players.

We still don't know if Curry will play tonight along with Festus Ezeli and Brandon Rush. Barnes is going to play in his first game since November 27th, and jokingly told Rusty Simmons of the SF Chronicle that he hopes his first shot will at least hit the rim.

However the Warriors still have Draymond Green, who is proving to be the one constant through a chaotic week of injuries. Green averaged 19 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists last week including two triple-double's that helped propel him to Western Conference player of the week honors.

Here are my picks for tonight's game against Charlotte:

ML - WARRIORS

ATS - HORNETS +8.5

O/U - OVER 206.5
