Mike Dunleavy rejoins the Warriors! (In the D League)

New, comments

The Chicago Bulls have assigned the once-Warrior to the Santa Cruz squad.

Dennis Wierzbicki-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome home Mike Dunleavy!!!! We always hoped you'd find your way through those doors again.

Oh, wait, what? You're not coming to Oakland, but rather to Santa Cruz? And you're still under contract to the Chicago Bulls?!

Darnit.

From nba.com:

The Chicago Bulls announced today the team has assigned forward Mike Dunleavy to the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League, pursuant to the Flexible Assignment Rule.

Dunleavy has yet to appear in a game with Chicago this season after undergoing a low back microdiscectomy procedure on Sept. 25, 2015.

Now all we have to do is wait until Baron Davis signs with a D League team, gets scheduled to play the Santa Cruz Warriors, and then we'll book a full fledged drink-all-you-can-until-you-cry GSoM night down there by the ocean.

Plus side of that situation: Body surfing drunkenly after the game in the ocean.

Minus: All the horrible, horrible memories conjured up by this:

OOOOOHHHH GOOOOODDD WHYYYYY?

Anyways, that's the news. Do with it what you will.
