The Golden State Warriors face the Houston Rockets tonight with an opportunity to take a commanding 3-0 lead in their first round series.

And they can completely demoralize the uninspiring Rockets tonight by doing so without Stephen Curry, who will miss a second straight game with an ankle injury.

As I explained yesterday, I think this is the right move if he's anywhere any sort of pain while doing what he can normally do: if they lose, he gets a few more days off before Sunday's Game 4. If they win, they can go into Game 4 knowing that they could realistically sweep the series with him sitting out again.

And if it made the Rockets work extra hard to prepare, all the better.

The bottom line: if the team is expecting a long playoff run, they might as well preserve Curry now to have him rested in the long-run.
