2016 NBA Playoffs: Who was the first round series MVP for the Golden State Warriors?

The Warriors beat the Rockets largely playing without the help of Stephen Curry. So who was the most valuable player for the Warriors while playing without their NBA MVP?

Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

As expected, the Golden State Warriors beat the Houston Rockets in the first round of the 2016 NBA Playoffs and will advance to the second round to face either the L.A. Clippers or Portland Trail Blazers.

Yet before turning our attention to what's next, let's take some time to celebrate what just happened by reviewing what just transpired.

We'll have time coming up to look at the nitty gritty of the games, but for now we'll just keep it simple: who is your choice for Warriors series MVP for the first round?

Last year when we did this, the series MVP almost every round was Stephen Curry. But we got an extended look at what the Warriors look like without Curry and that actually does open up some interesting conversation about not only how good this team is without the reigning MVP but also who will step up in his absence.

Basketball-Reference has a series box score, which is helpful for this task. You can see the basic stats here, but below are the advanced stats.

Anyway, without further ado, vote in the poll below and defend your choice in the comments. Usage, efficiency, and minutes tell one story, but versatility, defense and leadership might tell another.
