Klay Thompson rediscovered his shot last night, as he and new Warriors teammate Kevin Durant combined for 36 points to lead Team USA to a dominant victory over China.
Durant has been a force of nature so far in the two exhibition games played, scoring a game high 23 points in the opening match vs. Argentina, and then 19 points last night (also a game high). He showcased every aspect of his game: high release, gorgeous shot, ability to put it on the floor, and razor sharp court awareness as he found teammates over and over again for easy shots. He finished last night’s game with five assists, two rebounds and a staggering plus/minus of +37.
Klay was solid as well, shooting 6-10, including 4-8 from behind the arc to end with 17 points (second highest on the team behind Durant).
