Warriors vs. Cavs GameThread: LeBron James doesn't see a rival in the NBA

The Warriors face the Cavs today at 5 p.m. PST.

For weeks now, I've been trying to downplay the magnitude of today's game between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers, telling myself that it's just another game and the regular season doesn't really matter (especially given what happened last year).

Then the weekend came. Now all I can do is think about this game.

No matter how much we try to downplay this thing, the Warriors and Cavs have become rivals. Naturally, LeBron James has been doing this best to downplay that over the past few days, as reported by Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

So since this is really no big deal to LeBron, I just hope the Warriors beat down the Cavs today and move on to the rest of the week against our Western Conference foes.

Enjoy the game.
