For a while now, we’ve been talking about having a weekly thread that would remain pinned near the top of the site for people to just drop random comments in throughout the week. With the 2017 NBA All-Star starters being announced today at 4 p.m. PST on TNT, we figured that today would be as good a day as any to get it started.
Here’s how this will work:
- We’ll post this once a week and keep it pinned near the top of the site as a single running thread.
- As you have discussions you want to start throughout the week, you can continue to just drop comments in this thread.
- When we see off topic (e.g. “OT”) topics in other threads, we’ll (very gently...promise!) direct you to the weekly thread instead of threads about other topics.
Pretty simple, right?
Of course, this doesn’t mean you should stop posting FanShots and FanPosts -- if you have something that you want us to share with the broader community on the front page of the site or on social media, the FanShots and FanPosts will still be a better way to do that. We’re just trying to cut down on off topic comments in threads.
For now, I’ll just get the discussion going with a few little news tidbits from today with links directing you back to site content. Then you can get the thread going.
How many Warriors will make it as All-Star starters?
With the All-Star starters being announced shortly, Jared Stearne made All-Star Game predictions. What are yours?
The NBA will review Zaza Pachulia’s foul on Russell Westbrook
Zaza’s quote on the play was gold: “If it was a hard foul, it was a hard foul. There is nothing you can do. So you just move on. If he got hurt, that's fine, too. It's part of the game.”
David West’s injury
Andrew Flohr wrote about the possibility of other players getting a chance with David West out for a little while.
