Steph Curry’s future brother-in-law is a Santa Cruz Warrior

Over the weekend, Sydel Curry and Santa Cruz guard Damion Lee were engaged

The Curry family is getting another baller. Over the weekend, Sydel Curry, sister of Stephen Curry, got engaged to Damion Lee. And Lee just happens to be a shooting guard for the Santa Cruz Warriors, the G-League affiliate of Golden State.

Lee, who played college ball for Drexel and Louisville, is in his first Santa Cruz season. Through two games he’s averaging 7.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game, but those numbers will likely improve. Last year, in his inaugural G-League season with the Maine Red Claws, Lee averaged a very impressive 17.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game.

More importantly, since Lee will now be part of the Curry family, is that he can shoot. While he’ll likely never match Steph Curry, Seth Curry, or Dell Curry, Lee has made 44.8% of his career threes in the G-League, while taking more than five triples per game. Those are some Curry-esque numbers!

It would be fun if Lee ever gets a call up to Golden State. Steph has already gotten to play professionally with his blood brother, and I’m sure he’d love the opportunity to share the court with his newest family member.

Until that happens, here’s wishing a happily ever after to the newly engaged Sydel Curry and Damion Lee!
