It’s been exactly one year since the NBA world lost Craig Sager. Sager was long a staple at games and on broadcasts, known for his upbeat demeanor, unforgettable smile, and even more unforgettable outfits.
And, near the end of his life, he became known for his fighting spirit. Sager battled leukemia fiercely and openly, and was - and remains - an inspiration for so many people fighting their own personal battles, whatever they may be.
A year ago, when the news came, the NBA community mourned Sager’s death. The Golden State Warriors, led by Steve Kerr (who had worked alongside Sager while at TNT), had a touching tribute before a game.
Today, the Warriors are reliving the tribute, and it’s well worth watching again (or watching for the first time if you missed it last year).

Sager’s impact on the league, and on the coverage of basketball, will be felt for a very long time.
