Damian Jones is back with the Golden State Warriors. The second-year big man, who has spent most of the season in the G-League with the Santa Cruz Warriors, got called up over the weekend.
Warriors recall Damian Jones from Santa Cruz

Jones joining the team makes a lot of sense. Golden State’s starting frontcourt of Draymond Green and Zaza Pachulia has already been ruled out of Monday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers, so the team is sorely lacking depth at the power forward and center positions.
Because of this, it appears that Jones will not only be with the team, but activated, and may see some playing time.
Kerr said Damian Jones will likely be active tomorrow, especially if Zaza Pachulia isn’t available.

After Kerr stated that, the team officially listed Pachulia as out for the game, so we’ll definitely be seeing Jones at Staples Center.
Jones has yet to appear in any games for Golden State this year, but he’s been tearing it up in Santa Cruz. In 16 G-League games this year, Jones is averaging 17.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game, while shooting a stunning 70.1% from the field.
That’s pretty darn good, and no doubt Kerr and Bob Myers have noticed it. Hopefully Jones gets the chance to show what he can do at the next level.
