Wounded Warriors vs. Grizzlies, “Just say that a lot of guys are out” quips Kerr

Cue the Oprah meme: “You get an injury. You get an injury. YOU...get the flu!”

Andre Iguodala (flu) is a late scratch tonight, shortening an already tight rotation for the Warriors. I mean, it’s almost comical at this point...almost.

I’d like to say this will put the spotlight on players like Kevon Looney and Omri Casspi - both have been excellent during the current winning streak - but the truth is that even with our huge list of unavailable players we should roll over the Memphis Grizzlies.

But just for giggles, here’s the full list of players out tonight

Steph Curry (ankle), Shaun Livingston (knee), Draymond Green (shoulder), Zaza Pachulia (also a shoulder), Andre Iguodala (flu). That list represents a lot of minutes in the normal rotation.

Heck, I went ahead and did the math while waiting for the opening lineups: without the players above, the Warriors are without approximately 42% of their minutes per game.

Almost half.

Kerr was laughing about it, but you can tell that he appreciates just how bonkers this situation is:

Can the Marc Gasol and the Grizzlies do anything about it?

Without their starting point guard and most expensive wing player, the Grizzlies have plenty of problems of their own. Mike Conley (Achilles soreness), Chandler Parsons (rest), and F Brandan Wright (groin strain) are listed as out.

Marc Gasol is still one of the best centers in the game, but the Grizzlies are 2-8 over their last 10 games. Take that for data!

No but seriously, they shouldn’t have fired their coach.
