So, of course this storyline has spiraled almost entirely out of control. But, we are still all following it, and we are still all wrapped up within the inner-workings of these two grown adults’ relationship.
Such is life, and such is the NBA grind.
That being said, early in the first quarter of the 2017 NBA All-Star game, Westbrook got the ball on the break, passed the ball to his former teammate Kevin Durant, who threw it skyward for the Westbrook slam!

It was a moment so beautiful it should have been scripted.
Understandably, the Western bench celebrated as if something momentous had just transpired. Which — if you consider all the unnecessary media attention that’s been heaped on this scenario — was exactly the case.

Here’s to hoping we don’t have to talk about this nonsense quite as much during the latter part of this season. I love how Draymond Green is leading the cheers on the bench. He realizes that this has become the biggest storyline in the NBA (outside of that weird flat world thing that just happened), and that for continued success for the Warriors, it’s necessary to put it in the rear view mirror.
