The Golden State Warriors will face the San Antonio Spurs tonight for the final time in the regular season.
Scipiotheyounger, GSoM's resident Warriors AND Spurs fan, authored a FanPost today offering his thoughts on the matchup, including this assessment of the potential outcome:
GSW@SAS is somewhat unpredictable. The team that can focus for 48 minutes will certainly have an advantage. With a little luck, either team can be explosive and achieve an early 20-point lead. However, either team can come back from such a deficit. Given the history I have seen over many years, I would usually predict a 20+ point blowout without knowing which way it might be, but the game could easily surprise me and follow short-term data to be competitive.
I, for one, did not enter this season thinking the Spurs would sweep the regular season series, much less hand the Warriors at a beatdown at home on opening night. But let's see how the Warriors do tonight as the playoffs approach and they have almost everyone suiting up.
