NBA: Playoffs-Portland Trail Blazers at Golden State Warriors Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Since being drafted by the Warriors in 2009, no player has surprised, shocked, and awed the NBA world more so than Stephen Curry. Once thought too small, too frail, and too injury-prone to make it in this league, he has shattered all doubts en-route to winning two consecutive MVP awards (becoming the first player to ever be chosen unanimously for the honor), as well as leading the Warriors to a championship.

His story is one of grit, determination, unworldly talent, and a love of family. Now for the first time, we have the true, unfiltered scoop, written by a reporter uniformly respected and beloved in the NBA community.

The East Bay’s own Marcus Thompson II just released a book today. Seriously! It’s out now! And here at GSoM, we are really stoked to announce that we have 10 copies to give to you!

Here’s how this is going to work:

1.) Answer this question:

“Did you ever in a million years think Stephen Curry would be this good? And if so, when did you first start to suspect it could happen?”

Tell us the moment you started to suspect transcendent greatness. That’s it. The story can be as long or as short as you want. But, you know, put some oomph in it and it’ll probably do better.

2.) Recommend your favorite stories (including your own)! Total recommendations = total votes. The top ten vote getters will get a free copy shipped to them!

That’s it! It’s so simple!

I can’t wait to see what you guys come up with. We purposefully aren’t limiting this to the Warriors, but if you claim you knew he’d be a world champion and a unanimous MVP after his Davidson run, you’d better have some preeeeetty interesting anecdotes to back it up.

Even if you don’t win the competition, you need to go get this book. Seriously! It’s on sale as of today! For more information, visit riseofstephcurry.com.

When the votes are tallied, I’ll be in touch with the ten winners with further instructions. Voting ends Tuesday, April 18th, at 2pm PDT (exactly one week from today).

Happy story telling, and happy voting y’all!
