Don’t be glum. Monday just got better!
The Warriors have released the NBA 2017-18 preseason schedule. In keeping with his promise to make the 82-game regular season more realistic for human-being athletes, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has shortened the preseason and started it a week early, to better spread out the games.
Bay-area fans will have just two opportunities to see the Warriors play on the cheap, with ticket prices starting at about $65.
From the looks of the schedule, the team will start and end its preseason at Oracle Arena — against Denver on Saturday September 30th and Sacramento on Friday October 13th, respectively.
The team has two away preseason games in between, against Minnesota, in China:
- Thursday, October 5th: Shenzhen Universiade Center, Guongdong province
- Sunday, October 8th: Mercedes-Benz Arena, Shanghai
Since the team is used to seeing a bridge in the horizon, surely they will appreciate the Humen Pearl River Bridge in Guongdong, China. The state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz Arena overlooks the Huangpu River.

I don’t mind either way.

No! The majority of fans are in the Bay Area, so there should be more games at home.
CORRECTION: The original article incorrectly stated that one of the away preseason games was at Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany. The game is at Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China.
