On Friday night, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Cleveland Cavaliers are unsure of whether to follow through with the Kyrie Irving-Isaiah Thomas trade due to Thomas’ hip injury.
Sources: After Isaiah Thomas underwent physical today, Cavs still evaluating injured hip and weighing options w/ completion of Irving deal.

Thomas traveled to Cleveland, took exam and flew back out of town, sources said. All players must pass physical, or a deal can be voided.

As one source involved in the process involving Thomas' medical clearance told ESPN late Friday night, "It's a very sensitive situation."

It’s impossible to predict how this will play out, but I do think there’s a decent chance the Cavaliers void this deal. Isaiah Thomas’ hip injury was reportedly a serious issue during the trade negotiations, and now it seems it might be worse than previously thought.
Although he did not opt for surgery, Thomas’ condition seems pretty serious as explained here. As a five-foot-nine point guard, an injury that makes him permanently even one step slower will be disastrous. He’s already 29, and his hip could get worse.
What a crazy offseason this has been. If the Cavaliers void this trade, I have no clue what will happen to Kyrie Irving, Isaiah Thomas, and the two top teams in the Eastern Conference. Buckle your seatbelts, folks.
