#6 in a mini-series of quizzes on the Warriors’ sign language when celebrating baskets.

when two hands go to war, money’s on that you can score

We’ll start with Quiz 6, then share the answers to Quiz 5.

Quiz 6 Question

Question (3 pts): what kind of play is being celebrated here? Be as specific as possible.

Here are three clips of Stephen Curry wiggling/staring down his two hands.

Extra Credit. I don’t have any good extra credit questions based on the videos. How about this, WITHOUT the internet... Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have the 10 highest season totals for three-pointers. Name the Warrior with the most three-pointers in a season that’s not a Splash Brother. You get partial credit for naming anyone in the top 5 (non-Splash).

Quiz 5 Question

Question (3 pts): what kind of play is being celebrated here? Be as specific as possible.

This is also a little subtle, so here are a few examples.

First, the bench doing it.

Now Stephen Curry flashes a left hand version.

And Curry again with the right hand.

And the bench again with a twisty version and JaVale coming in late.

Extra Credit (2 pts): In the two bench clips, name all the bench players doing the celebration and also name the seasons.

Answers coming Monday. You only get credit for your extra credit answer if you post it in the comments.

Quiz 5 Answers

Here are the full clips.

Now you see the pattern. These are all celebrations of scoop layups.

The first bench clip has Ian Clark, Jason Thompson. and James Michael McAdoo respecting the righty scoop shot. Thompson was only a Warrior for the first half of the 2015-2016 season.

The second bench clip has Kevon Looney, Ian Clark and JaVale McGee (eventually) celebrating the twisting scoop shot. That of course came from the 16-17 season.
