The basketball courts that I used to play at in Oakland were totally run down. I stopped playing there for a year. Then recently, I dropped by to get some shots up and found the entire park renovated. New rims, glass backboards, painted floor with Kevin Durant Foundation painted on the center.

Growing up, professional ballers for me were more like celebrities for entertainment on the stage or TV. But to actually experience and benefit from their charitable work made me feel like they're part of my community.
