Today is a special day: it’s the start of the 2017-18 NBA season for the Golden State Warriors. With training camp set to start tomorrow, the Warriors are having their annual media day this morning and afternoon.
Media day is more than just an opportunity for players to spout cliches about how they’re in the best shape of their life. It’s also an opportunity for reporters to get their first glimpse of the team, and talk with players and coaches. And of course, it’s when the team films and photographs many of the promo shots that we’ll be seeing over the next nine months.
Luckily for Dubs’ fans, the Warriors are streaming a portion of their media day. From approximately 11:30-12:30 PST you can watch media day on the Warriors’ Facebook page. It’s hosted by Tim Roye and Laurence Scott, and should offer a great glimpse of the day to Warriors fans across the world.
I don’t know about all of you, but I’m very excited to see all the players back at the practice facility, getting the season underway.
