It was vitally important for Stephen Curry to have a memorable performance, to help us all recover from this:

Setting the memory neuralizer to wipe the last five minutes, just to be safe.

Slightly more amazing than Curry’s 45 pts in 29 minutes is that Stephen Curry didn’t take his first shot until Q1.8:06 and had 2 pts with 6:55 left in Q1. So he scored 43 PTS in 24 minutes!
Also notable:
How many top players like Steph, on track for a 60 point game, would run multiple plays to get his 3-for-15 teammate going?

The W’s ran plays to let Klay Thompson finish on a high note, then plays for JaVale McGee and Nick Young in the 3rd quarter when many players in Curry’s place might be gunning for 50 or 60. Heck, the crowd and most Warriors fans wanted that too.

The Clippers made mistakes, and on top of that, their defensive scheme was to let their big men switch onto Curry, but they either gave him too much room on the catch, or if they forced a drive, they lost him on the second action as Curry never stops cutting.
