Tuesday night was more than just opening day in the NBA. It was, as every opening day is, the celebration of the prior season’s champion. That champion is, of course, the Golden State Warriors.
The Warriors kicked off the season in style with a monster ring ceremony - everything you would have expected from Joe Lacob. There was so much - check it out.
They celebrated the previous five Warriors champions:

The commissioner, Adam Silver, congratulated the team on their second straight title:

And they had fun receiving and showing off their monster championship rings:

Speaking of the rings....just LOOK at these beauties! I mean, for crying out loud, the top comes off!

Of note was Kevin Durant, who was introduced last when the rings were doled out among players.
For those into overanalyzing recruiting breadcrumbs: Kevin Durant announced last in the ring ceremony. They went Klay, Draymond, Steph and then KD to round it out.

Was that a recruiting attempt? Was it recognition of his Finals MVP award? Or was it pure coincidence and we’re making too much of it?
Who knows. But the bigger point is this: The ring ceremony was outstanding, and there’s another championship banner hanging in Oracle Arena.
