The Golden State Warriors began the season a little bit short-handed. They opted to only fill 14 of their available 15 roster spots, and one of those 14 is DeMarcus Cousins, who is out for the forseeable future due to an Achilles injury.
And they’ll be even shorter on Friday night, when they face the Utah Jazz in their second game of the year. Wing Andre Iguodala has officially been listed as out for the nationally-televised contest.
No Andre Iguodala tonight in Utah, Warriors announce. Still dealing with calf tightness.

Iguodala exited Tuesday’s opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the second quarter, after experiencing tightness in his calf. The tightness is in the same leg that kept the former Finals MVP out for a long stretch of the playoffs.
There is good news, though, as Iguodala participated in the team’s shootaround, and was questionable earlier in the day.
In Iguodala’s place, you can expect a fair chunk of minutes for either Alfonzo McKinnie or Jacob Evans III.
