Explain One Play: How Jonas Jerebko wreaked his revenge

New, comments

Watch the Swedish Warriors Wonder, Jonas Jerebko, get his revenge on the Jazz team that fired him, saving a scrambling Warriors team. Co-starring Draymond Green smashing his own head, Steph Curry waving his arms in the air like he just don’t care, Klay Thompson wandering around confused, and the entire Warriors bench screaming in Swedish.

I know we did not expect to have to name the Jonas + Steph/KD/Dray/Klay closing lineup, but we pretty much are required to name them the Jonas Brothers, right?

Here are some brief notes during the game.

  • Jonas Jerebko starting to loosen up. Some flashy passes, hoists a long 3 early in the clock, gets rebound and dish to Stephen Curry. Somehow GSW still in this...
  • Interesting sequence. Curry gets nailed in the nose on a drive (no foul), knocked to the ground off-ball (no foul), knocked to the ground again off-ball on D (finally a foul). Bleeding all over, gets cotton stuffed up his nose, then starts attacking the basket...
  • Steve Kerr puts Jerebko back in for crunch time...?
  • Kevin Durant with a couple of excellent passes to Curry out of the post, with some effective screening. Despite everything, GSW is actually ahead 1. Fluke Joe Ingles buzzer beater on track to decide the game...
  • AS WE ALL EXPECTED, JEREBKO WITH THE GO-AHEAD BUCKET
  • Sending this script back to NBA2K19 writing staff. No one will believe Jerebko won this. Get out of here. Make it more believable, like Patrick McCaw coming out of the stands for a dunk putback.
  • Kerr keeps on StrengthInNumbersing and sometimes he hits the jackpot...
  • Hahaha, Andre Iguodala raced out of the lockers shirtless to celebrate with the bench. Also, don’t sleep on Draymond Green’s gutsy 3 down the stretch.

And here’s a video analysis of the last minute, which featured some surprising confusion by the Warriors, who were saved by Jonas Jerebko’s Swedish powers. Co-starring Draymond Green smashing his own head, Steph Curry waving his arms in the air like he just don’t care, Klay Thompson wandering around confused, and the entire Warriors bench screaming in Swedish.
