Denver Nuggets

The Nuggets have started strong this season, winning and covering in their first two games against the Clippers and Suns, respectively.

Nikola Jokic has been a force to start the season, collecting a triple-double against Phoenix and leading the team in scoring for both of Denver’s games.

Paul Milsap has had double-digit rebounds in each game and solid team defense from the Nuggets has been a factor in each of their games going under the total.

Golden State Warriors

The Warriors come off an exhilarating one-point, last-second win against a team and in a place that have both been difficult recently, beating the Jazz 124-123 in Salt Lake City on Friday night.

Kevin Durant scored 38 points with 9 rebounds and 7 assists while Stephen Curry continued to play like an MVP candidate, adding 31 points of his own and clutch three-point shooting.

The Dubs have won both games but are 0-2 against the spread and 1-1 to the over/under.

Analysis

Another stiff road test, another smaller than usual line for the world champion Warriors.

Once again, this spread seems like Vegas is just begging for bettors to take the Warriors, implying that the Nuggets are likely to play a close game with the Dubs.

Over the past two seasons, the Nuggets have covered four of the last seven games against the Dubs with five of the seven games going over the total.

The Warriors lost both of their games in Denver in each of their last February match-ups but have won and covered at the Pepsi Center, with the total going over, in each of the last times they faced off in November.

Based on the trend of the past two seasons and the Nuggets playing on back-to-back nights, we like the chances of the Warriors winning and covering this game with a slight lean to the over.
