The Golden State Warriors will try to build off of their no-sweat dispatching of the Suns, taking on a stiffer challenge in a Washington Wizards squad that has caused problems for the Dubs in recent years.

Washington Wizards
The Wizards had a night off following their overtime win in Portland where they handed the Blazers their first loss of the season.

The Wizards are scoring 116.7 points per game (11th out of 30) and giving up 118.0 points per game (21st out of 30).
Washington scores a 5.26 (9th out of 30) in basketball reference’s simple rating system, with a pace factor of 103.9 (6th of 30), offensive rating of 108.5 (20th of 30) and defensive rating of 109.8 (17th of 30).
The Wizards are 1-2 against the spread (ATS) and 3-0 to the over/under this season.
Golden State Warriors
The Dubs got right with an easy win against the Suns on Monday, led by Stephen Curry’s consistent MVP caliber play, Kevin Durant’s steady presence, Klay Thompson’s getting back in the groove and Jonas Jerebko’s fresh off-the-bench energy.

Golden State is scoring 113.2 points per game (13th of 30) and conceding 106.5 points per game (7th of 30).
Warriors score 8.90 in the simple rating system with a pace factor of 101.5 (16th of 30), offensive rating of 111.6 (12th of 30) and defensive rating of 105.0 (5th of 30).
The Dubs are 1-3 ATS and 1-3 to the over/under.
Analysis
The reason this is not a double digit spread is because the Wizards have a recent history of causing problems for the Warriors both on the court and ATS.
Dubs fans will remember KD getting injured against the Wizards in D.C. and who can forget when Bradley Beal and Kelly Oubre Jr. took cheap shots at Draymond Green and Klay Thompson?
The Wizards have covered ATS against the Warriors in four of their last five meetings with three of those five contests going under the total.
Based on the Warriors ATS challenges against the Wizards, we would recommend staying away from a side or lean Washington.
While Steph has started the season shooting at a blistering pace, the rest of the Dubs have yet to really get going offensively but their defense has been strong, contributing to three of their four games going under the total.
Considering the Warriors’ strong defense, anticipation of a physical game between these teams and recency bias of Wizards’ overs possibly causing inflation of this total, we might consider taking a look at under 235.5 in this one.
