You can’t write it up better than this. Klay Thompson entered the game having shot just 5-36 from beyond the arc in the first seven games for the Golden State Warriors.
And then, in game eight, he set the NBA record for most threes in a single game, with 14.
Klay Thompson has set the NBA record for three-point field goals in a game with 14.

The 14 threes broke the previous record of 13, which was, not surprisingly, held by Steph Curry. Thompson needed fewer than 26 minutes of playing time to set the record, and exited only halfway through the third quarter, with the Warriors nursing a 40-point lead.
Along the way, Klay made 10 threes in the first half, which set the NBA record for threes in the first, while tying the record for threes in any half.
There was no one happier for Klay than Curry, who was actively seeking out shots for Thompson with the record well within grasp.
It’s impossible not to love this team.
