The season-opener is creeping closer, and the Golden State Warriors are still not at full strength. Draymond Green, who has missed the last two preseason contests for the defending champs, will officially not be playing on Wednesday when the team heads to Las Vegas for their penultimate preseason game.
Draymond Green will NOT play against the Lakers tomorrow. When asked if he’ll make the trip with the team, Steve Kerr said, “It’s Vegas. Yes.”

Wednesday’s game is the first time the Warriors will face the new-look Los Angeles Lakers, who made an enormous splash in the offseason by signing LeBron James. The teams will rematch on Friday, in the final game of the preseason, before playing four regular season games (the first of which occurs on Christmas day, at Oracle Arena).
It’s hard to know what to make of the knee injury that is sidelining Green. On the one hand, Green has been dealing with nagging injuries for a while now, and knees are always very concerning. On the other hand, it’s preseason, and the team is going to be extremely cautious with injuries, so it very well could be that he is completely fine.
Hopefully the knee is fully healed soon. After all, the season begins in just one week.
