If you missed it, Klay Thompson showed up to training camp this season with a bit of a new look. The four-time All-Star popped up at the Golden State Warriors media day sporting some serious facial hair - a bit more than in prior years. And if it’s just a training camp look, well . . . he’s running out of days to change it before the season starts.
Some people think it looks quite good. Others are not so sure about the furry look. I count myself in the former category, but that’s neither here nor there, and is probably due to me trying to feel better about my own questionable facial hair decisions.
Naturally, the sharpshooter’s teammates have a few thoughts on his new look. And those thoughts were, thankfully, caught on camera.

DeMarcus Cousins, who admitted that Thompson was the new teammate he was most excited to be around, had this to say: “I’m not really feeling it, but, you know, to each his own . . . You know, Klay’s in his own world, so I don’t think anybody’s opinion really matters.”
Steph Curry was diplomatic and kind, as always, saying that, “I love Klay’s new look,” while Jordan Bell took a different route, deadpanning that, “It covers his ugly face more.”
And, as we’ve come to expect, Andre Iguodala offered up a very Iguodalian quote, saying, “I just like when Klay does, like, whatever Klay wants to do.”
Well, if this is the kind of stuff it takes to keep the teem engaged this year, I’ll happily take it.
