There probably isn’t a single person in the Bay Area as adored as Steph Curry. Which means the region does a collective gasp when they hear scary news about the Golden State Warriors superstar.
Thankfully, this collective gasp comes with a collective sigh of relief. On his way to shootaround on Friday morning, Curry was involved in a car accident near Oakland, on Westbound Highway 24. A car spun out (presumably due to the poor weather conditions), and hit Curry’s car. After Curry slowed, he was rear-ended by a second car.
But the story has a happy ending, as it appears that Curry is unhurt.
Steph is okay and he arrived at shootaround. https://t.co/T8D5hPni67

Stephen Curry was in a car accident this AM, but is getting treatment for his (unrelated) groin injury at the facility and is fine.

All’s well that ends well, but that’s certainly a bit of a scare.
And, more importantly, it serves as a strong reminder for everyone in the area. This rain is very much needed and welcomed, but it makes for dangerous driving conditions, so everyone please be extra careful when driving.
