Quinn Cook and Damian Jones are G-League All-Stars

The Golden State Warriors have four players in the NBA All-Star Game, which is twice as many as any other team. And now they also have two players in the G-League All-Star Game.

Quinn Cook and Damian Jones, who are both under contract with the Warriors (the former on a two-way contract, the latter on a guaranteed one), made the G-League showcase for the Santa Cruz Warriors.

The recognition is very well deserved. Cook is averaging a Stephen Curry-esque 24.4 points, 8.1 assists, and 4.9 rebounds per game, while shooting 41.7% from deep. Jones is putting up 15.3 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game, and making 67.6% of his shots.

The pair will be joined on the Western Conference squad by, among other players, Georges Niang, who was with the Warriors during training camp.

While Cook and Jones have been tearing up the G-League, they still haven’t gotten much of a chance with Golden State, due to the team’s absurd depth. Cook has played only 103 minutes all year, while Jones has managed just 2.

Still, the future is bright for both players, and the Warriors are happy to have them. Chances are, we’ll be seeing these two getting minutes down the road, either this year or next.

Of the 17 players under contract with the Warriors, six are in either the NBA All-Star Game, or the G-League All-Star Game. Not bad. Not bad at all.
