Warrior Wonder: Durant loves scoring in Portland, hates losing there

Kevin Durant’s scoring binges in Portland this year have his name in the company of Allen Iverson and Rick Barry

24 hours after putting the Golden State Warriors on his back against the San Antonio Spurs sans Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant tried to repeat that feat against the feisty Portland Trail Blazers. And he would have gotten away with it too, if not for that darned meddling backcourt of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum!

The Warriors were unable to replicate their magic from their win over the Spurs, as they faded late in Portland, 125-108. Durant kept the champs in the fight with brilliant play, delivering proverbial haymakers all night in an attempt to keep pace with the explosive Trail Blazer offense. He would finish with 40 points on 12-of-21 shooting from the field, 6-of-12 from three point range, and a perfect 10-for-10 from the charity stripe. He also ran the offense for the most of the evening, finishing with 6 assists, and 6 rebounds.

If only the Warriors could get a win in Portland when Durant is putting up monstrous numbers!
