Gamethread: Warriors host Kings in game no one should win

Sacramento is not good. Golden State is not healthy. Who wins?

NBA: Golden State Warriors at Sacramento Kings Sergio Estrada-USA TODAY Sports

No one should win this basketball game. The Sacramento Kings, long removed from the playoff race, have no reason to try and win. And the Golden State Warriors are missing three of their All-Stars, and a combined 72.6 points per game.

So . . . tie?

For the Warriors, the challenge is to get up for a game after the disappointing news that Kevin Durant has a fractured rib.

They’ll do so by sliding Andre Iguodala into the starting lineup, along with the other four players who started Wednesday’s contest.

While this lineup is . . . what’s the phrase . . . not good, it’s still better than what Sacramento is putting out there, as the Kings are going full tank with three rookies.

Don’t expect the game of the year, but it would still be disappointing if the Warriors lost this one, even without Durant, Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson.

Time for Draymond Green to shut up the people who say he’s overrated by playing with stars.

Let’s Go Dubs!!
