Quinn Cook lit up the Suns! He’s finally showing the shooting touch that allowed him to dominate the G-League.
Quinn Cook got super busy against those scrubs in Phoenix. In a gargantuan 40 minutes of playing time, Cook feasted on the Suns with 28 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, on 11-of-17 shooting. His 5-of-7 makes from downtown had him looking positively Curry-esque (although he didn’t shoot, turn, and jog away before any of the shots went in. Smh, we’ll have to work on adding some more hubris to his game #babysteps4babysteph).
Part of the revelation of Cook is that he shot so well off the dribble. This makes him potentially an organizer of the bench and a shot-creator for himself and others. We plan to look at that aspect in a future video.
But if Cook plays in the playoffs, he will be way more useful if he is able to play off-ball like Klay Thompson. And in the Suns game, he showed just that.
In this little video, we look at how Cook shows he can play off-ball like Klay Thompson, making him a potentially important piece if he can make the playoff roster. Co-starring Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Jordan Bell and Zaza Pachulia. And we do it via clips of a couple of Thompson’s most famous shots (you better be able to identify the first two).
