GSOM’s Patrick Murray looked back on Quinn Cook’s stellar scoring night:
The star of the last night’s loss to the Bucks was Quinn Cook, who had a career-high 30 points on 12-for-15 shooting, including 5-for-5 from three. Early on in the game, we saw a glimpse of what we need in the playoffs.
Cook did what he needed to do with the stars on the floor, which is knock down the open jumpers created. The bench has been lacking someone who can do that consistently all year, but it looks like the problem has been solved.
Then, when the game was lost again in the fourth quarter, Cook refused to take no for an answer. He was all over the shop, taking guys to the rim, nailing ridiculous layups, and draining threes.
We made a video showing how Quinn Cook shot a perfect 5-for-5 on three pointers against the Bucks. Cook provided weak-side punishment when Durant warped the defense, and after Durant was ejected, Cook went into mini-Steph-Curry mode. Co-starring Kevin Durant, JaVale McGee, and Draymond Green
Enjoy!
