Stephen Curry left Thursday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs after twisting his ankle. The Golden State Warriors superstar landed awkwardly on his ankle after attempting a layup, and being fouled, in the opening minutes of the game.
Curry stood in pain for a few minutes, before trying to walk it off. The Warriors called timeout to buy Curry time, and after the time he shot his free throws, ensuring he could return to the game if able.
As soon as Curry’s free throws were made, the Warriors called timeout to get him out of the game, and he headed to the Golden State locker room.
While this is certainly bad news, Curry was walking off the court on his own power, without much of a limp. It appears the sprain isn’t too bad.
During timeout, Stephen Curry is now standing up and trying to put pressure on the right ankle. Looks like he's going to keep playing.— Mark Medina (@MarkG_Medina) March 9, 2018
As soon as we have more information, we’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, fingers crossed for Curry.
