After Sunday’s loss, the first round continues for the Golden State Warriors. It’s been a stellar first round, as only the New Orleans Pelicans have finished their series and advanced to the semifinals. The other seven series are still ongoing, and most of them are highly competitive.
So while we wait for Tuesday’s game five in Oakland, we get the pleasure of two highly exciting games to watch.
It starts with the Minnesota Timberwolves hosting the Houston Rockets at 5:00 PM PST. Houston leads the series 2-1, but Minnesota had a highly impressive performance in game three, and could make things very, very interesting tonight with another strong showing.
Then, at 7:30 PM PST, the Utah Jazz host the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Jazz have won two games in a row to take a 2-1 series lead, and will try and take a commanding lead tonight in what has been a delightful series thus far.
Most Warriors fans are probably rooting for the Timberwolves, as it sure would be fun to see the number one-seed Rockets get a serious scare in the first round. As for the second game of the doubleheader, there’s less investment for Dubs fans, unless you have a strong opinion of what you’d like to see happen to Kevin Durant’s former team.
Either way, we’ve got some very good basketball on the slate tonight (and, more specifically, on TNT). Enjoy the games, everyone!
