The Golden State Warriors and their fans will have to wait at least one more game. Stephen Curry will not be returning to the court for Game 1 of the second round series against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Curry was feeling good after scrimmaging yesterday and practicing today. Not surprisingly, he tried to plead his case to take the court tonight. Equally not surprisingly, Steve Kerr wasn’t going to be persuaded when logic said to let him sit once more.

That Curry was unhappy with the decision is a good sign. It means he’s close enough to being back that he feels he’s good to go. With two off days before Game 2, that means that Curry will likely be back on Tuesday. Steve Kerr certainly seems to think so.
