While we revel in the Golden State Warriors’ rousing blowout of the New Orleans Pelicans last night, the rest of the 2018 NBA Playoffs will march on today.

The schedule begins at 10 a.m. this morning with the Cleveland Cavaliers trying to avoid first round elimination in Game 7 against the Indiana Pacers. A Cavs loss would mark the first time ever that LeBron James has lost in the first round of the playoffs.

SB Nation’s Tom Ziller has already summed up what’s at stake in Cleveland today:

This is a land unmapped for LeBron James. He hasn’t been in a competitive first-round series since 2008. He’s never lost a first-round series. His long reign atop the Eastern Conference, with seven straight bids to the NBA Finals, appears to be in peril. This is his team’s worst early showing in the playoffs ever.

If the Cavaliers lose on Sunday, it will mark a deeply disappointing finish to a deeply disappointing season as LeBron approaches a free agency no one knows whether to take seriously. The two times this has happened before, LeBron switched teams in the offseason. Keep that in mind as the game and aftermath unfolds.

I’m here for all of it. How about you?

The other game is the beginning of the Houston Rockets-Utah Jazz second round series. It probably goes without saying that we’d all revel in a Rockets’ loss here...but that’s somewhat unlikely with Ricky Rubio out, as reported by the Salt Lake Tribune.

Ricky Rubio, who left Friday’s Game 6 clincher against the Oklahoma City Thunder with a hamstring injury, will miss at least Game 1 against the Houston Rockets, first reported by The Tribune, and he may be out for more than a week.

The Jazz already had a small margin for error against a top-seeded Rockets team that swept all four matchups in the regular season. Taking away Rubio, a veteran playmaker who shined in his first postseason appearance, has serious consequences for the Jazz, even though the team managed to clinch the series without him on the floor.

Rooting for the Jazz, expecting the Rockets to take this one. It tips off at 12:30 p.m.

This is your Sunday playoff thread. Enjoy the games with us in the comments.
