If the season ended today, the Warriors would face the Timberwolves. But there is utter chaos.

Most NBA teams only have four games left before the season ends. Some teams only have three. And yet chaos remains in the Western Conference.

The top two seeds have been set for a while, with the Houston Rockets clinching the top seed, and the Golden State Warriors locked into the second seed. The Portland Trail Blazers have started pulling away, and have nearly secured the third seed.

After that? Madness. Pure madness, I tell you. So, with every game have enormous playoff implications, we’ll be updating the postseason race every day until it’s set. Here’s what it looks like going into Thursday’s games.

Western Conference Standings

6 Oklahoma City 45-34 0.5
7 Minnesota 44-34 1
8 New Orleans 44-34 1
9 Denver 43-35 2
10 LA Clippers 42-36 3

If you need any further proof as to how tight and crazy this is, check out the expected outcomes for all the teams involved. Look at the clustering!

With the Minnesota Timberwolves holding the tiebreaker over the New Orleans Pelicans, the Warriors are currently in line to play the Wolves in round one, which would not be incredibly fun, as Minnesota figures to be getting Jimmy Butler back.

But, things still stand to change quite a bit, and that starts tonight, as the Utah Jazz square off against the Los Angeles Clippers, while the Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets battle.

Fasten your seatbelts, folks.
