NBA: Toronto Raptors at Cleveland Cavaliers David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

The second round of the NBA Playoffs are officially underway, and all of the games are pretty compelling. But other than the one I’m emotionally invested in (the Golden State Warriors vs the New Orleans Pelicans, obviously), the series that stands out is the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Toronto Raptors.

There are storylines everywhere in this series. The Cavs had a bit of a down year, and fell to the fourth seed. The Indiana Pacers gave them everything they could handle in round one, with the Cavs needing seven games just to eke out a victory.

The Raptors, on the other hand, had a fabulous season, earned the top seed in the East, and finished with the second-best record in the NBA, behind only the Houston Rockets. They are rolling.

Then again, the Raptors had a better regular season than the Cavs last year, and all they had to show for it was being swept by Cleveland in the second round. The year before? Another good year, and another one-sided loss to the Cavs.

So it’s fair to wonder if this iteration still has no answer for Cleveland. Then again, this is the worst Cavs team since LeBron James returned, and a greatly improved Raptors team.

Regardless of who you think has the upper hand, this is a very exciting game. And the best part? When it ends, keep the TV on, and the Golden State Warriors will follow!
