Stephen Curry started the game struggling. He shot just 1-7 from beyond the arc in the first half, pushing his series total to 3-20 from deep. Yet despite that, the Golden State Warriors were in control. Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala had strong offensive games, while Draymond Green and Kevon Looney led a dominant defense charge.
The Warriors led the Houston Rockets at the half by 11.
And then the third quarter came, and it was like a kid on Christmas morning unwrapping a present. And that present was Steph Curry.
Curry was a perfect 8-8 in the third quarter for 18 points, and one very strong declaration:

Yes it is, Steph. Yes it is.
The third quarter burst came, and the game was as good as over. After three quarters, the Dubs led 88-67.
Roll the highlights!

Yeah, that’ll do.
Curry finished with 35 points on 5-12 shooting from deep. Durant had 25 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists. Green had 10 points, 17 rebounds, 6 assists, and absurd defense. All five starters had a plus/minus that was in the 20s.
The Warriors took a 2-1 lead in the series, with a 126-85 victory. Yeah, you read that correctly. A 41-point win.
Works for me.
