The first half got off to as good of a start as the Golden State Warriors could have possibly hoped for. They held the Houston Rockets scoreless for the game’s first five minutes, and jumped out to a 12-0 lead.
And then things turned ugly, as the Warriors forgot how to score, and James Harden began to dominate. Houston worked their way back into it, and eventually took the lead, before a last minute burst gave them a seven-point lead at the half, 53-46.
Harden has 24 points on 8-17 shooting, and Chris Paul has 14 points on 5-9 shooting. For the Warriors, Kevin Durant leads the way with 15 points, but it’s taken him 14 shots to get there. The team has shot just 39.6% from the field, and has 10 turnovers to just 6 assists.
But there was at least one highlight for Golden State. Check out this block from Jordan Bell:

Time to see if the Warriors can get one of those big third quarter runs going.
