The rotations for the Golden State Warriors in their Game 2 victory against the New Orleans Pelicans were a little unconventional. Namely the fact that Stephen Curry was coming off the bench, something we haven’t seen in quite some time.
It’s pretty easy to see what coach Steve Kerr was going for by letting his superstar ride the pine to start the game. Bringing Curry in halfway through the first quarter allowed the point guard to ease his way into the game, and take some of the pressure off of having an immediate impact.
It also gave the team and arena an enormous energy boost when they really needed one, so it all worked out well.
Of course, it was never a long term solution, and after Curry proved ready to play starter’s minutes once more, it should be no surprise that Kerr is putting him back where he belongs.

That’s what I like to hear.
It was great seeing Curry back on the court for Game 2. It will be even better to see him back in the starting lineup for Game 3.
