When the NBA Finals begin tonight, the Golden State Warriors will not be at full strength. Forward Andre Iguodala, who injured his knee in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals against the Houston Rockets, will be sitting out his fifth consecutive game.
Their opponent, the Cleveland Cavaliers, on the other hand, will be at full strength. The team announced on Thursday night that All-Star power forward Kevin Love, who was suffering from concussion-like symptoms, is good to play in Game 1.
STATUS UPDATE: @kevinlove has completed the NBA’s Concussion Return to Play Program and will be available to play tonight in #NBAFinals Game 1.https://t.co/Mi7Xicsh8k

Love suffered a head injury early in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals, and missed the rest of the game, plus Game 7. Head injuries are nothing to mess around with, so it’s good to hear that he’s doing better, and is able to play.
It remains unclear how long Iguodala will be out, but hopefully both teams can avoid injuries from here on out, so that we can have the best NBA Finals possible.
