Andre Iguodala will play in Game 3

He’s back, baby.

NBA: Playoffs-Golden State Warriors at Houston Rockets Erik Williams-USA TODAY Sports

He’s finally back. After a two and a half week absence, Andre Iguodala will once again be suiting up for the Golden State Warriors.

Iguodala hasn’t played since banging knees with James Harden during Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals, way back on May 20. He missed the final four games of that series, as well as the first two games of the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

His return is, of course, a huge plus for the Warriors. Not only do they get a key player back in his Nikes, but there will be an emotional burst from seeing him back on the court.

Not only that, but Iguodala matches up very well against the Cavs. He’s about as good of a defender against LeBron James as exists, and gives Cleveland fits by allowing Golden State to play a small lineup. He was the 2015 NBA Finals MVP against the Cavs, and while he won’t be repeating that award this year, he has a chance to make an impact, and help the Dubs repeat as champions.

Welcome back, Andre. We’ve missed you.
