It’s been an entertaining first half of basketball in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. The Cleveland Cavaliers have been playing inspired basketball on their homecourt, and lead the Golden State Warriors 58-52.
For the Warriors, it’s been the Kevin Durant show. The team has struggled to find their rhythm and make their shots, but Durant has been nothing short of spectacular. KD leads all scorers with 24 points on a wildly efficient 10-14 shooting, including 3-4 from downtown. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, on the other hand, have combined to shoot just 3-15.
LeBron James and Kevin Love are playing very well, and the Warriors will have to slow them down to have a chance in the second half. Still, given the nature of Golden State’s third quarters, trailing by six probably doesn’t feel like a deficit at all, especially since they spent much of the second quarter down by double digits.
On to the second half we go.
KD beats the halftime buzzer!
