The Golden State Warriors made a slightly surprising signing today, when they inked free agent shooting guard Damion Jones to a two-way contract.
Free agent guard Damion Lee has reached an agreement with Golden State, league sources tell ESPN.

Lee has not been on the Warriors Summer League roster, so it seemed likely that the two-way contracts would instead go to Kendrick Nunn and Marcus Derrickson. But the Warriors liked what they saw in Lee, and offered him a contract instead.
And Golden State has a serious connection to the former Louisville player: He’s engaged to Sydel Curry, sister of Stephen Curry. So, while it’s not the Seth Curry signing that had briefly been rumored, the Warriors are getting one of Steph Curry’s brothers!
But it’s not nepotism, as Lee brings a lot to the table. In his rookie year last season, he played 15 games for the Atlanta Hawks, and averaged 10.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. He also played well earlier in the year for the Santa Cruz Warriors.
Lee offers size at the two-guard, good athleticism, and a very nice jumper. Chances are we’ll see a fair amount of him on Golden State this year.
The team now has one remaining two-way contract to give out.
