The Warriors are massive betting favorites to win it all

The Golden State Warriors won the title in 2015. They came ridiculously close to winning it again in 2016. Then they avenged their loss with another championship in 2017. And then a second-straight one in 2018.

All that is to say, it comes as absolutely no surprise that the Warriors are favored to win the NBA Finals once again. But it may be a little bit of a surprise just how much they’re favored.

According to Bovada, one of the most popular online sports betting sites, the Warriors are -195 favorites to win the 2019 championship. The next closest team is the Boston Celtics, all the way at +500.

Yes, the same betting company gives much higher odds for a person walking on Mars in the next six and a half years than they do for any non-Warriors team to win the 2019 title.

That is pretty spectacular.

If you’re not familiar with betting, the Warriors at -195 means you would have to bet $195 in order to win $100. At +500, a $100 wager on the Celtics would earn you a payout of $500.
