This should not surprise you, but it certainly should excite you: The Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers will play on Christmas day.
The NBA has yet to announced the 2018-19 regular season schedule, but on Wednesday they’ll unveil a few key dates, including Christmas, and the opening week of nationally televised games. A recent report has confirmed the obvious: Steph Curry and LeBron James will have yet another showdown on December 25.
A vintage dose of Celtics/Sixers, Giannis and the Bucks at MSG against the Knicks and (you guessed it) LeBron's Lakers in Oakland to face the Warriors are the highlights of the NBA's Christmas Day schedule that will be announced Wednesday afternoon, league sources tell @NYTSports

This marks the fourth consecutive year that the Warriors have faced LeBron James on Christmas. Not surprisingly, it will be not only the highlight of the day, but one of the highlights of the season. And luckily (and deservedly) for Warriors fans, it will be a home game, taking place at Oracle Arena.
Playing the Lakers on Christmas means the Warriors likely won’t face Los Angeles on opening night. Instead, the most logical opponents are the Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Boston Celtics. We should know more about that on Wednesday.
But until then, we have this amazing game to start drooling over.
