Everybody knew the Golden State Warriors would play on the first day of the NBA season. The league usually begins the year with a nationally-televised double-header, with one of the games featuring the defending champions. The only question for the Warriors was who their opponent would be.
Now we know: The Oklahoma City Thunder. The league announced today that the Warriors will host the Thunder on Tuesday, October 16, at 7:30 p.m. PT, on ESPN. It will be the second-game of the double-header, following the first game of the season between the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics.
